Stephen Barr

I provide massage therapy to relax you, to help you move better, to help with pain you may have. My simple philosophy is to do all I can to make sure that you leave an appointment feeling better than you did when you arrived.

I began in the fitness industry in 2015, and I continue to teach group exercise classes. My natural curiosity to movement led to a qualification in Intrinsic Biomechanics and an interest in pain science. I then took further qualifications in Nutrition and Exercise.

Ultimately, this led me to ‘therapy’ and the desire to help people relax, assist with pain relief through both massage and exercise, or simply to ‘get you moving’.

My own participation in sport over many years (football, golf, cycling, kickboxing) acts as a good grounding to understand how we move and what may happen to our bodies and mind when we stop moving for whatever reason. As someone in their late 50’s, I know that age is no barrier to moving well and feeling good about it! I believe that any and all movement is great for body and mind, and it is my desire to help others get back to what they love.

My philosophy is that the proven touch of massage, together with movement of any kind, can mean a stronger and healthier body and the ability to keep doing the things we love for as long as possible.
